The Story Behind the Design

In the mid-20th century, Belcourt Castle—a sprawling estate on Bellevue Avenue in Newport, RI—became home to a breathtaking piece of artistry: a life-size coronation coach, handcrafted by the Tinney family. The coach was painted in 23-carat gold, featured intricate carvings, and weighed nearly four tons. It was the centerpiece of parades, celebrations, and dreams for generations.

Our design pays homage to that incredible piece of Newport folklore with a subtle, stylized rendering of a carriage—perfectly balanced on a light tee designed for relaxed elegance and timeless coastal flair.
